Our Approach
Formation for Transformation
Head
Transformational Content:
The Mind of Christ
Each student’s mind is renewed and formed through the transformative and evocative study of the Bible, theology, missiology, history of missions and movements, comparative worldviews, intercultural dynamics, and theories of community transformation and development.
Heart
Transformational Character:
The Love of Christ
Each student’s heart is formed and transformed through engagement in character-building discipleship, pursuit of personal and relational wholeness, and participation in spiritual and relational practices that build intimacy with God and others. In all of these ways, students are challenged to grow in their love of God and others (the Great Commandment).
Hands
Transformational Craft:
The Mission of Christ
Each student’s hands are equipped through serving the vulnerable; praying for various communities; evangelizing near-culturally and cross-culturally; leading Bible studies; practicing empowered life, ministry, and discipleship; planting and forming churches; participating in community organizing; and investing in intercultural research and relationship-building.

Curriculum
For Healthy Foundations
Wholesome Growth &
Life-Long Fruitfulness
ICT’s curriculum unfolds in four phases to offer a transformational model that combines the best of university and ministry or mission school programs, equipping future global leaders to serve the vulnerable fruitfully and sustainably.
Phase 1
Foundations
Phase 1 lays the foundation for whole person formation and a missional calling in Community Transformation through study, spiritual formation, and community engagement.
Phase 2
Growth
Phase 2 extends and deepens whole person formation and the capacity for Community Transformation. Students will discern their vocation, choose an Area of Focus, and engage in applied learning in local communities.
Phase 3
Fruitfulness
Phase 3 offers our most challenging levels of holistic formation and community engagement through experiential learning, research, internship, and service in a chosen global community.
Degrees
ICT offers opportunities for students to complete a degree program at our partnering universities.
