Celebrating Five Years of God’s Transformative Power! 

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

When we launched the Institute for Community Transformation in September 2020, we had no idea what God would do. Covid-19 had shut down “normal” life worldwide, and recruiting students for a brand-new, online, holistic educational program in Community Transformation seemed impossible. But God!

Adegbite (Ade) was one of our first launch year students recruited. Already a leader in Perspectives Global and on the Nigeria Evangelical Missions Association (NEMA) leadership team, he also recruited many new ICT students. After completing the first year of ICT’s program, he helped develop and teach our Transformational Leadership course. His years with ICT helped him transition from NEMA to form a new missions organization in Nigeria, Omega Center for World Missions. Their Omega Prayer ministry for Unreached People Groups has especially touched our staff and learners.

William and Jackline, two of our most recent learners, have only finished the first year of ICT’s program. It has been life-changing for both, but especially for William. The transformation evidenced in his life drew the attention of his close friend, a pastor at another church in Uganda, to the point of this church requesting the continuation of ICT so that their congregants also may be deeply transformed. Several Ugandans including former ICT staff will now continue to offer ICT’s core classes under a new organization in Uganda to serve this need.

As we bring ICT to an unexpected end and launch our staff and learners into a future known only to God, we look back in awe. God has done so much! New missions organizations, prayer networks, schools, churches, and dozens of Discovery Bible Studies (many among unreached people groups) have been begun by our learners. Existing ministries have been strengthened and made more fruitful. Small businesses that strengthen the local economy and society while discipling their employees have been launched. Unknown numbers have heard the gospel in new ways, and thousands have turned to Jesus Christ as Lord! What more will God do with us as He multiplies this impact in the years ahead?

 

We invite you to join us in praising God for how He is moving and working in and through our students, answering prayers and unfolding His plans for each one through the prayer gatherings and classes.

 

Please Continue to Pray!

  • Praise God and give Him glory for all He has done in and through us in ICT over these last five years! Praise Him for all He will do next as He multiplies impact through us!

  • Pray for a blessed graduation and closing celebration on August 16, 2025.

  • Pray for wisdom, healing, grace, and God’s blessing for the future for learners, faculty, and staff as we faithfully serve Him. May we end ICT well and launch well into the next phase of life.

  • Pray for peace and stability in the areas where our learners live, especially over violent unrest in Nigeria and Ethiopia’s ongoing civil war. May God bring healing and His shalom.

  • Pray for God’s presence, peace, provision, protection, wisdom, health, strength, joy, and blessing for all in ICT. May God’s power, glory, and grace be over us all.
